System Requirements

Most hosting providers and personal installations on Unix/Linux/Windows systems should be able to host Joomla 3.x under very common configurations. But, we recommend to check the following settings before not after the problem appear.

Server:

• Software: PHP 5.6 or 7.0 + recommended

• Apache mod_rewrite module (for short URLs)

Database:

• MySQL 5.1 minumum (5.5.3 + recommended)

• SQL Server 10.50.1600.1 or greater

• PostgreSQL 8.3.18 minimum (9.1 + recommended)

Web Server:

• Apache 2.0 minimum (2.4 + recommended)

• Microsoft IIS 7 or greater

• Nginx 1.0 minimum (1.8 + recommended)

Browser:

• Firefox 29+

• Google Chrome 30+

• Opera 10+

• Safari 5+

• IE 10+

We are strongly recommended that you always check the following system requirements before Helix Ultimate framework installation:

• Joomla 3.8 or more soon

• PHP 5.6, 7.0.x, PHP 7.1 or PHP 7.2

• cURL library

• OpenSSL libraries

• PHP file_get_contents() function must be available/unlocked

For performance and security reasons, we recommend using the latest version of Joomla and the highest stable version of PHP available on your host.
